Update on the future of the TER programme
The Teaching Council is currently reviewing how the Teacher Education Refresh (TER) programme will be offered beyond 2025.
There may be changes to the programme as part of a wider shift in how returning early childhood education (ECE) kaiako are supported to re-enter the profession. While the final details are still being worked through, we expect that a version of the TER programme will continue for ECE kaiako.
Please note that the programme is subject to final approval by the Teaching Council of Aotearoa New Zealand
